San Mateo Peñasco

The town (Ñuu) of San Mateo Peñasco (Farallón) located in the upper Mixtec region, where people speak one of the 85 dialects of the Mixtec language.

It is a town of peace and tranquility, with an environment of mountains, cliffs, semi-tropical crops and vegetation and a river surrounding the lower part of the town.

A village with authentic traditions in food, clothing, festivals, typical fabrics, sericultural, polytheistic religion and above all, 80% speak Mixtec.
